The Institute of International Education (IIE) in Vietnam held its annual higher education fair in Ho Chi Minh City on October 11.

IIE hosted an Education Forum in the morning, which focused on providing a space for Vietnamese and American university representatives to discuss joint cooperation programs. In the afternoon, the IIE-Vietnam Director, Dr. Mark Ashwill; the Vice Director of the MOET representative office in HCMC, Mr. Tran Huong; and the U.S. Consul General, Mr. Seth Winnick, spoke at the opening ceremony to welcome fair participants. Approximately 3000 students and parents attended the fair, which included 65 American college and university representatives from over 20 states. Simultaneous to the fair, the IIE Educational Advisor and Testing Officer, as well as a US Consular Officer, gave presentations on various aspects of study in the US, including scholarships and financial aid, testing, and student visas.
