Consul General Seth Winnick traveled to Da Nang to attend a repatriation ceremony for two sets of remains believed to belong to American service members missing in action from the war in Southeast Asia from the Vietnamese authorities on Feb 14 at the Da Nang international airport. The remains were recovered by joint U.S.-Vietnamese teams from five sites in northern and central Vietnam during the 83rd Joint Field Activity from 13 October through 14 November 2005. While in DaNang, Consul General visited East Meets West funded projects, met with local media editors, and met with new ERO Director Luong Minh Sam to discuss ways to promote the relationship between Da Nang and the US Consulate General in HCMC.
