PAS-funded workshop on entrepreneurial management

Public Affairs Section of the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with Can Tho Business Association (CBA), Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Young Businesspeople Association (YBA), and HCMC Woman Entrepreneur Club to conduct two workshops in Can Tho and HCMC during April 5-6, 2007 on “Entrepreneurial Management and Development”.

During the workshops, approximately 120 woman entrepreneurs from the Mekong Delta and HCMC shared their business views with IBM Senior Consultant Tracey Nguyen, a PAS-sponsored speaker. They discussed company vision, training of employees, better access to internet, culture in business, marketing strategies, global dimensions, and customer interactions. These workshops exposed Vietnam’s female entrepreneurs to modern marketing techniques and entrepreneurial management while balancing their roles in business and family life and highlighting the cultural aspect of business.
