Visiting Vietnam's South-Central Coast Provinces

Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company Factory Manager Le Thi Hong Van and led Doug Sonnek, Pham Thanh Nhan, company officials and provincial authorities on a tour of the Sanest drinks factory

Economic Specialist Pham Thanh Nhan and Economic Officer Doug Sonnek visited Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Binh Đinh provinces from March 17-20 to hear from provincial authorities how the current global economy is affecting these provinces.  They also met business leaders in the three provinces, in industries ranging from mining to seafood to ports, and talked with U.S. investors about their projects.  Highlights included a tour of the Salanganes Nest Company in Nha Trang, pictured, where the company manufactures food, drinks and health products from Collocalia fuciphaga birds' nests, made of their solidified saliva.
