The two winners of the U.S. College Quiz Contest receive their prizes from contest sponsors

More than 200 high school and university students recently participated in a U.S. College Quiz Contest sponsored by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and the Institute of International Education (IIE).  The contest began August 4 with a multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank quiz about U.S. culture, history and education.

Sixteen top scorers who advanced to the final rounds of competition, held August 11.  The finalists were divided into four teams to answer multiple-choice questions about U.S. higher education.  The members of the team with the highest score advanced to the final, Jeopardy-style round of competition.  All four finalists -- including a tie for first place -- received prizes from contest sponsors.
