Children from the Mai Tam HIV/AIDS Shelter meet Santa Claus
Volunteers from the U.S. Consulate General hosted 30 children and seven mothers from the Mai Tam HIV/AIDS shelter for a holiday celebration on Sunday, December 14. The children, ranging in age from 1 1/2 years to teenagers, spent the afternoon playing, eating, and being entertained by a magician and juggler! Consul General Ken Fairfax and other volunteers, including the family that opened their home for the event, organized and participated in the fun. Yet another holiday highlight was the visit of Santa Claus, in a bright red suit, who presented each child and mother with a gift. The holiday spirit was written in the smiles on everyone's face!
