Visa Renewal by Mail Program Expanded!
Have a current U.S. visa or one that expired in the last 24 months? Want to save time and money and avoid coming to the Embassy or Consulate for an interview? You may be able to enjoy our expanded visa renewal by mail program.
Applicants may now qualify to renew their visas by mail if their prior visa expired no more than 24 months ago, and meet all the other requirements for renewal without interview. For detailed information on how to renew your visa by mail, please visit http://www.ustraveldocs.com/vn/vn-niv-visarenew.asp.
Please note that to renew an E, H, L, P, or R visa, the prior visa must have expired no more than 12 months ago.
Note: All applicants eligible for renewal by mail MUST print two copies of the Mail-In Renewal Confirmation Letter with barcodes. One copy of the letter will be submitted to the Vietnam Post location, and one copy MUST BE INCLUDED with your passport, application, and other supporting documents for renewal. Your renewal by mail cannot be processed without the Mail-In Renewal Confirmation Letter. You also need to submit two NEW passport photos. Your case cannot be processed with old photos.
