Death of Dr. Judith Ladinsky

It is with great sadness that the Embassy has learned of the death of Dr. Judith Ladinsky on January 12, 2012 in Wisconsin. Dr. Ladinsky worked tirelessly to improve primary health care, scientific cooperation, and education in Vietnam. Her efforts earned her the respect both the U.S. Government and the Government of Vietnam. Through her more than 30 years of dedication and contributions to the Vietnamese people, Dr. Ladinsky helped improve U.S.-Vietnam relations on both sides of the Pacific. Her passing is a great loss to both countries.
